Marsborne start 1-1 at FiRe CONTER S1 after falling to BESTIA
Marsborne began their South American tour at FiRe CONTER Season 1, where they opened with a confident 2-0 win v. Pyrcyon.
Their next match came against BESTIA, where they faced a more formidable opponent.
Marsborne picked Inferno to start the series, where they won six of the first seven rounds on the T side. BESTIA were able to cut into the NA side's lead, with the deficit at 7-5 at halftime. They took that momentum into the second half, taking a brief lead at 8-7. That was where Marsborne would take the advantage back, though, as they gave up just one more round in the rest of the map to win 13-7.
BESTIA looked to bounce back on their pick of Ancient. They nearly followed the same script as Marsborne, taking a 5-1 lead which then turned into a 7-5 advantage at the half. BESTIA, secured eleven rounds early in the second period before Marsborne clawed game back to 11-8. It wouldn't be enough, as BESTIA hit the UNO Reverse card, winning the second map 13-9.
The decider was Nuke, where Marsborne started on the preferred CT side. Marsborne started the map with a 5-2 lead, but BESTIA battled back to even the score at 6-6. BESTIA jumped out to a 9-7 lead on the second half T side. BESTIA were impeccable for the rest of the half to secure the 13-7 victory and send Marsborne to the Group B lower bracket.
Danny "Cxzi" Strzelczyk's match-high 60 frags weren't enough for Marsborne, as Tomas "tomaszin" Corna led BESTIA with a 1.36 rating in the victory.
