tarik at the very least still cares about CS

tarik: "If our League team qualifies to worlds, then Sentinels will make an entrance into CS"

tarik has found a way to make CS fans care about League of Legends.

Sentinels streamer and ELEAGUE Boston Major 2018 champion Tarik "tarik" Celik has proclaimed on X that should Sentinels' League of Legends team secure a spot in Worlds in 2026, the organization will "make an entrance into CS."

While the claim is likely meant to be taken somewhat tongue-in-cheek, it follows an interview released by Sheep Esports back in June 2025 where Sentinels CEO Rob Moore told the publication it was "probable" that Sentinels would enter Counter-Strike 2.

As such, there has a high of excitement over tarik's "promise", especially as he is an iconic name in both the Counter-Strike and VALORANT world. tarik, alongside Cloud9, secured NA its first and only Major in CS:GO history over FaZe Clan.

For tarik's promise to come true, Sentinels' League of Legends team would need to finish Top 3 in the LCS's Summer 2026 split. Where we're not experts in this field, it will likely be a tall order as this is Sentinels' first year back in the game after buying 100 Thieves' franchise slot in 2025. Their last outing in League of Legends was all the way back in 2017 when the organization was still known as Phoenix1.
