Chicken Coop win Crossfire S3
Chicken Coop are the champions of Crossfire S3 after a 2-1 victory v. regain in the final. regain started the series up 1-0, but were felled on Overpass and Ancient to fall just short of the championship.
Chicken Coop and regain were both a flawless 3-0 in the group stage, advancing to the playoffs with little trouble. Chicken Coop swept the playoffs before the final matchup, beating Locally Hated, Zomblers, and Holly Molly all by scores of 2-0.
regain dropped just one map in the playoffs before the final, which was to Omen in the round of sixteen. After that initial test, they swept Phantom Sense and Wanted Goons in the quarterfinal and semifinal.
regain began the final with a solid first map on Dust2, where they held a 7-5 lead at the end of the first half. The converted that lead into a 13-8 win to take a 1-0 lead in the series. Chicken Coop answered right back with a commanding 10-2 lead in the first half on Overpass. CC easily won the map 13-4 to level the series. Ancient was the deciding map, which started as even as could be, with both teams deadlocked at 6-6 at halftime. It was Chicken Coop who edged out regain at the line, winning the final map 13-9 and winning Crossfire S3.
