Official: Wildcard quietly disband and discontinue academy lineup

The European team never broke into the top 100 despite some modest successes.

Dust2.us has confirmed that Wildcard's Academy team has been discontinued heading into 2026. While some of its components were promoted to the main team, the others will no longer be with the North American organization going forward. Wildcard initially assembled their academy team at the start of 2025, building an international lineup that competed in the European tier three and tier two scene.

After the promotion announcements earlier this year, a Wildcard represented informed Dust2.us that the remaining two players will not continue with the team. Vladyslav "leen" Stepanov has apparently not been with the team since September while Anton "doni" Savienkov will soon be leaving for an undisclosed team.

The project never saw significant success. They primarily played in smaller, online tournaments, winning a few United21 seasons and making the occasional run in the ESEA Advanced Division. They also made changes frequently with no lineup staying together for more than three months.

However, the project has not been a complete loss as it proved the main team with some-much needed reinforcements going into 2026.

Wildcard Academy's final roster consisted of:

  • Denmark Simon "sSen" Solnæs Iversen

  • Anton "doni" Savienkov

  • Miłosz "mhL" Knasiak

  • Vladyslav "leen" Stepanov

  • Meytar "AMSALEM" Amsalem

  • Łukasz "splawik" Jahns (Coach)
