M80 swept aside by Gentle Mates, eliminated from BLAST Bounty
Gentle Mates dispatched M80 2-0 at BLAST Bounty S1 2026 with little trouble. After a win at fl0m's Mythical LAN, M80 struggled in their online opener at BLAST Bounty.
M80 claimed the pistol on their map choice of Mirage, but that was the only lead they would have in the game. Gentle Mates answered back with nine rounds in a row to propel themselves to a 10-2 lead at the half. Gentle Mates easily converted the map with a 13-2 victory to take M80's pick.
M80 took the pistol round on Inferno again, which was the only lead they held on the second map, as well. Gentle Mates answered back with nine of the next eleven rounds to earn a 9-3 halftime lead this time around. M80 put up more of a fight in the second half this time, but it wasn't nearly enough as they fell 13-8 to crash out of BLAST Bounty.
In-game leader Alejandro "alex" Masanet put up 38 frags and an impressive 1.72 rating in the victory.
