Austin Major Grand Finals rematch on the cards as StarLadder Budapest Major playoffs are drawn

Following the conclusion of today's matchup between Falcons and G2, StarLadder have released the bracket for the Budapest Major playoffs. With an absolutely stacked field of six out of the top eight teams on the December VRS, the StarLadder Budapest Major playoffs is set to be a fantastic spectacle to close out the year.

The headline match in the quarterfinals will see BLAST.tv Austin Major finalists Vitality and The MongolZ face off on December 11th at 02:00PM. With Vitality's form trailing off post-Major and The MongolZ making a roster change it may not be the exact matchup we saw in Austin, however it is sure to be exciting as the majority of their confrontations in 2025 have gone the distance and delivered.

The second series on December 11th, Falcons v. Spirit , is also going to be exciting after Falcons narrowly made playoffs over G2. With Maksim "kyousuke" Lukin, Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov, Danil "donk" Kryshkovets being some of the best players in the world and generational talents from Russia it's going to be a firepower battle worth tuning in for at 11:00AM.

On December 12th, the day will start with MOUZ taking on FaZe. Many doubted FaZe's ability to make playoffs after a rough start to Stage One, however they have done well to prove everything wrong thus far. Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken is the sole NA player left in the competition so we know who we will be rooting when the two international squads clash.

Rounding out the quarterfinals, world #1 FURIA will face off against NAVI. NAVI come into the series as heavy underdogs, especially after being smashed by FURIA in a Stage Three Bo1. However, as a Major champion we're hoping Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen will be able to bring something to the table and make it an exciting series that could put the whole Major on its head.
