FlyQuest RED lose in ESL Impact League Season 8 Finals debut
FlyQuest RED lost to the European side Let Her Cook in the opening match of ESL Impact League Season 8 Finals group A this morning, November 28th.
The result sees FlyQuest RED drop to the lower bracket, where they'll need to win twice to advance to the playoffs of the final ESL Impact LAN.
FlyQuest RED decided to play on Mirage instead of Dust2 and started the game on the T-side. However, they couldn't get the ball rolling on the offense, as Let Her Cook imposed a strong defense and won nearly 8 rounds in a row.
Mounira "GooseBreeder" Dobie managed to salvage the first half with some much-needed points in the end, but the struggles continued, as Let Her Cook reached map-point territory in round 17.
FlyQuest RED struck five in a row and began to mount a comeback, but unfortunately, Let Her Cook closed out the game. Notably, Marie Ellen "marie" Toft Sørensen, the highest-rated FlyQuest RED player throughout Impact NA S8, struggled on their debut.

FlyQuest RED will begin their lower bracket run against BIG Equipa, who were defeated by Sakura in the opening round. Unlike the first round, this match will be a best-of-three.
Should FlyQuest RED move past BIG Equipa, they'll get a rematch against Let Her Cook for a spot in the semifinals.
