NRG reverse sweep M80 to win FRAG Ultra Mega Jersey
NRG have won the $10,000 Fragadelphia Ultra Mega Jersey this Sunday, November 9th, after an intense reverse-sweep against M80 in the grand finals.
NRG advanced to the grand finals after defeating Outfit 49, Reign Above, Mavrek, and SAW. M80, on the other hand, defeated FoxHound, Mavrek, Reign Above, and Marsborne en route to the finals.
It looked like M80 would breeze past NRG in the grand finals, as they claimed Mirage (13-5) and Dust2 (13-7) comfortably, off the back of dominant first halves.
However, NRG picked up the pieces on Overpass (13-8) and tied the series after a T-side masterclass on Inferno (13-4).
They headed to Train, which proved to be the longest map of the BO5 finals, as both teams had their moments. But a ridiculous 1v4 by Jeorge "Jeorge" Endicott earned NRG their 12th point, and they never looked back.
