NertZ posts highest player rating in day one of CAC 2025
Day one of the CS Asia Championships 2025 is complete, and while it's very early on in the event, one of Liquid's players is way atop the leaderboards.
After one day of action, Guy "NertZ" Iluz sits atop the player rating rankings with a stellar 1.60 rating after three maps.
NertZ led the way for Liquid on the opening best-of-one on Inferno, posting a 1.65 rating against GamerLegion. In the following match against MIBR, he wasn't asked to do much on Mirage, but shined on Nuke with a 21 kill, 7 death performance, good enough for a 1.93 rating.
It's hardly a one-man show though. All five Liquid players have positive rating after the first three maps, with Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak in particular showing out on the AWP in the series against MIBR.
For Liquid, positive momentum is a must-have ahead of the Major, especially with the team on a time crunch to get Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski reacclimated. This is only the second event for Liquid after his return, after a third place result at the Birch Cup LAN at the end of September.
Liquid looks ahead to Legacy in the Group A upper bracket final on Thursday, with a playoff berth already secured.
