Crossfire and OSSCS merge
Off Season Shenanigans Counter-Strike (OSSCS) and CROSSFIRE, two North American tournament organizers, have merged on September 8th.
The goal behind the merger, according to CROSSFIRE, is to offer "big events and more opportunities for players and fans."
OSSCS, on the other hand, released a more detailed statement to the press.
With this merger, there will be no Season 9 of OSS, as staff and resources will be transferred to support the growth of the NA scene together. We believe this merger will not only strengthen the scene but also ensure that tournaments receive the proper support needed for future success.
So, it seems that all efforts, for now, will be poured into delivering the ongoing CROSSFIRE Season 2.
The plan, according to CROSSFIRE and OSSCS staff, is to run a league in NA, whether it has Valve Regional Standings (VRS) status or not, in the future.
OSSCS has been around since 2023, while CROSSFIRE was created in March 2025.
