BHOP top Generation NSTLGA Seattle Open
Generation NSTLGA's Seattle Open event took place this past weekend, where eight teams battled in a double-elimination bracket for the grand prize of $3,000.
The event was marred by technical issues at the Gameworks venue in Seattle and was moved to the Contender Esports Gaming Center in Lacey, WA, on the second day.
BHOP began their run to the final v. Ms Office, then beat Dirty Wawa and Neon Lights in the upper bracket semifinal, and upper bracket final.
Ms Office bounced back in the lower bracket, making a run all the way to the lower final, where they faced off with Neon Lights. That's where Ms. Office's lower bracket run ended, as they lost to Neon Lights in a convincing 2-0.
Neon Lights' victory set up a rematch with BHOP in the grand final. BHOP began the series with a convincing first half on Nuke, taking the lead 10-2. Neon Lights managed to secure three rounds in the second half but lost the map 13-5 in the end.
Dust2 was the second map, and started off as even as could be, with both teams in a deadlock at 6-6 at the half. This is where BHOP took control, taking seven of the eight rounds in the second half to win the map, match, and tournament by a 13-7 scoreline.
Here are the top three finishers from the tournament:
1st.
BHOP - (supa, c0ntr01, colin, swayu, Jester) - $3,000
