ASPYRE defeats Shimmer on day seven of Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 3
ASPYRE v. Shimmer was the one and only match played yesterday in the Eagle Masters Series. ASPYRE won the series in a confident 2-0 to move to 2-1 while Shimmer falls to 1-2.
In the 0-2 pool, FlyQuest RED and Aether move to 1-2 thanks to the withdrawals of Arrival Seven and MIGHT.
ASPYRE 2-0 Shimmer
Shimmer picked Mirage to start the series. After a back-and-forth first half, the score was level at 6-6 going into the second period. This was where ASPYRE took control and didn't look back, winning all but one round in the second half to take the map 13-7.
ASPYRE took that momentum into the second map, their pick of Inferno. Shimmer couldn't get anything going as they fell behind 10-2 at halftime of this map. ASPYRE then converted their lead into a 13-2 victory to take the series.
Mark "marekiew" Petrov led ASPYRE to the victory with a 1.58 rating (in HLTV's new rating 3.0) and a 39-14 K/D.
