NRG sneaks into BLAST Bounty Season 2 after Falcons declines
BLAST has confirmed the list of 32 teams invited to BLAST Bounty Season 2 closed qualifier scheduled for August 5-17. Included in the list of 32 are North American stalwarts Complexity and NRG, as well as the formerly-recognized-as-NA roster of Liquid.
Headlining the list of teams invited is the reigning Major winners and undisputed best team of the year in Team Vitality. All of the top teams will be in attendance, save for one: Falcons. Falcons, who are in the midst of their "no-PC boot camp", chose not to attend, surrendering their invite to the next highest ranked team on the official global VRS rankings: NRG.
It's a busy time of the year for many of the top-ranked teams, as BLAST Bounty Season 2 is sandwiched between the end of IEM Cologne and the start of the Esports World Cup. Liquid will attend all three events, while Complexity will attend Cologne and BLAST Bounty S2. NRG won't be at Cologne or EWC, but do have ESL Pro League Season 22 starting in late September.
