M80 brings back coach SyykoNT, but just for ESL Pro League qualifier

The suits are back.

With coach Rory "dephh" Jackson out of action for his brother's wedding, M80 is calling on the Vice President of Esports Don "SyykoNT" Muir to step in once again as coach.

SyykoNT is no stranger to coaching for M80. During a couple of event in 2024, including the American RMR for the PGL Copenhagen Major, dephh had to compete on the main roster in place of former IGL Marcus "maNkz" Kjeldsen, forcing SyykoNT to take on the coaching role. Prior to taking on the VP (and sometimes coaching) role with M80, SyykoNT was a successful VALORANT coach with dephh serving as his IGL, making a deep run at Masters Copenhagen and Champions in 2022 with the XSET organization.

For M80 now though, it's a new era. The team is now officially listed as a North American team rather than just an American team, following the signing of Canadian Jadan "HexT" Postma in place of Ethan "reck" Serrano. While this won't have any drastic impact on their qualification paths, their road to ESL Pro League has been made a bit easier, as both Complexity and Liquid won't be in the NA qualifier.

As a higher seed, M80 will begin in the second round of the qualifier, and will play the winner of Outfit 49 v. Mythic on July 11th.
