sycrone admits having a day off in the Major playoffs is an "unfair advantage"

MOUZ and paiN are having a day off today after locking in BLAST.tv Austin Major semifinals yesterday, while the winners of Vitality vs. NAVI and FaZe vs. The MongolZ won't have the same luxury.

For MOUZ's head coach Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen, this scenario is unfair, he revealed in an interview with Pley.gg yesterday, after MOUZ defeated Spirit.

It’s an advantage to have an off day. You can recuperate some strength and energy, and you can spend more time looking at the game, preparing. Also on the back end, we knew it was an advantage, and it’s unfair. I have told that to BLAST straight up. I don't think it should be this way.

BLAST could have easily avoided this advantage sycrone talked about, if the teams who are in the same bracket, played their quarterfinal match on the same day. This was done in both previous CS2 Majors in Copenhagen and Shanghai.

We'll see if this will make any difference on June 21st when the semifinals will be played.
