Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 2 Day 8 Recap: Marca Registrada reach playoffs, three teams eliminated

One round of play remains in the regular season.

Four matches were played out on the eighth day of action in the Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 2, with either playoff qualification or elimination at stake.

The headline match saw Marca Registrada triumph over MIGHT to earn a spot in the playoffs, leaving MIGHT with a do-or-die game in the 2-2 pool.

Mexico Marca Registrada 2-0 United States MIGHT

Marca Registrada had little trouble with MIGHT. A clean 2-0 saw the Mexican side steal MIGHT's pick of Dust2 to start the series, while holding serve on Mirage.

Jorge Alberto "b1" Treviño Díaz put up an outstanding 54 kills in the series to lead his team to victory and playoff qualification.

United States Tsunami 2-1 United States girl kissers

This series got off to a tantalizing start, with girl kissers stealing Tsunami's Ancient pick 13-11 to begin the match. However, the next two maps were the polar opposite of the first.

Tsunami dominated on Mirage and Anubis by scores of 13-2 and 13-3, respectively. Nikolaos "Pose1doNN" Antoniou notched a match-high 51 frags in total for Tsunami to push them to the win. girl kissers are now out of contention for the playoffs with a 1-3 record.

Ghost picked Inferno to begin the match, but Wanted Goons stole the map away via a strong T side to win 13-8. A nearly identical 13-7 win on Dust2 kept Wanted Goons alive in the Eagle Masters in the 2-2 pool.

Kevin "Magic" Simpson was the standout player in a solid team effort to eliminate Ghost.

The most competitive match of the day came in Aether's close 2-0 win over Subtick. Aether had a solid start to the series on Mirage, winning 13-8 and putting Subtick one map away from elimination behind Aidan "clipzera" S.'s 26-12 statline.

Subtick fought back on Train, bringing the map to overtime before losing 16-14. Andrew "Tender" Cote stood out for Aether this time, logging 29 frags.
