Twistzz says team is "exhausted" from bootcamp prior to must-win match v. MOUZ

Prior to the start of Liquid's do-or-die match versus MOUZ at the BLAST.tv Austin Major, rifler Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken spoke to James Banks in brief broadcast interview, and gave a surprising quote.

Banks asked Twistzz about the mood in the Liquid camp following the losses to Lynn Vision and The MongolZ yesterday. Twistzz's full answer is as follows:

"I think the mood is fine in the team. I think as individuals we're a bit exhausted from our boot camp. Obviously our own fault. We just need to do our best today and play the way we believe we can."

The quote drew the ire of some fans online, with those fans questioning why Twistzz would make such a comment, and others perceiving it as something of an excuse. Long-time Mythic players Austin "Cooper" Abadir posted the clip on X, asking "what's going out at Liquid?"

Both the desk analysts and commentators on broadcast noted pre-match that Liquid has looked a step behind at this event. Liquid is, at time of writing, facing MOUZ in the opening map of a best-of-three series.
