imoRR is in serious trouble with the Turkish authorities

Eternal Fire player imoRR detained in Turkey in gambling promotion investigation

imoRR was arrested alongside ten other influencers.

Longtime CS veteran Ömer "imoRR" Karataş, as well as the other influencers, were arrested and charged with promoting and profiting from a gambling service.

The arrests follow an investigation from Istanbul's Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau into the accused parties' use of a website called Key Drop.

Users open cases on the website, which can then be converted into real money. Turkish laws strictly forbid the promotion of and profiting from gambling websites. A case with imoRR's name on it can be found on the website, and it is described as a case created in collaboration with the player. imoRR also made a post on X about Key Drop back in 2024.

imoRR originally joined Eternal Fire in 2021 and was benched from the active roster in 2023. He transitioned to a content creator role until he was moved back into the active roster following the transfer of the organization's team to Aurora.

Eternal Fire posted on X and stated that imoRR has been released from custody to await trial.
