M80 survive an insane nail-biter versus OG to end the day with a 1-1 record!
M80 have survived an absolute nail-biter of a match against OG on Ancient to best the European squad and avoid falling into the 0-2 pool — where the team would've had to face Falcons for survival at the BLAST.tv Austin Major. The win today showed "Major" grit from M80 as the team had to come back from a 12-6 deficit on their T-side in order to force overtime before even having the chance to win.
This situation came about after a less than stellar CT-side from M80 which saw the NA team start down 0-5 before evening things up at the half 6-6. This deadlock was short-lived as OG played a near-perfect CT-side at the start of the second half, pushing M80 to the limit as they ended up down 12-6.
However, with a loss seeming likely the team rallied around great showings from Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich and Mason "Lake" Sanderson to battle back round by round to force overtime until they were locked in for extra rounds. In OT, M80 bested a deflated OG to take the map 16-13.
