LAG top ESEA Advanced S53 upper bracket
LAG, who competed as Vagrants before they signed to the American organization, has marched all the way to the final of ESEA Advanced S53, which has guaranteed their place in multiple ESL Challenger League S50 Cups. The ECL Cups will replace the traditional league format, with the top four from Advanced securing their spot in at least one Cup competition.
LAG went through Tigers, regain, VitaPLUR Plasma, and Chicken Coop on their way to the final. LAG only dropped a map to regain, but their closest match came up against VitaPLUR.
LAG won by scores of 13-11 and 13-9 in the Upper Bracket Quarterfinal. Justin "Sandman" Saulle led the way in the fragging department for LAG, dropping 39 over both maps.
By securing qualification into the final, LAG guarantees themselves a spot in three of the ECL S50 Cups, and would qualify for all four of them if they win ESEA Advanced S53. LAG will begin the final with a one-map advantage in the best-of-five match. The final is scheduled for June 15th.
Currently seven teams remain standing in the lower bracket, with Take Flyte taking on 1WIN and Tsunami facing Outfit 49 in the lower bracket round five tonight at 08:30PM.
