HEROIC beat NRG, send them to the 1-1 pool of the BLAST.tv Austin Major Stage 1
HEROIC made quick work of NRG in their 1-0 pool match at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Stage 1. The European squad looked more prepared and comfortably beat NRG on Dust2.
Josh "oSee" Ohm did warn before the game that NRG couldn't falter against "top level teams" or they would be punished, and that's exactly what happened.
Also read: oSee: "If we falter in just one aspect, these top level teams will punish you every time"Even though NRG secured the first pistol on the T-side, HEROIC rapidly stole the momentum as they converted the second round with a force buy and went on to win the next three rounds.
NRG did find a couple of gun rounds, but overall, their T-side lacked depth against HEROIC and lost most of the opening duels. Yasin "xfl0ud" Koç got an ace on round 11 that pretty much summed up that 9-3 half.
HEROIC made things pretty rough for NRG as they won the second pistol and made the comeback nearly impossible.
Once again, NRG won a couple of rounds, but they lost to just pistols on the B bombsite, and allowed HEROIC to get to map-point territory. The Europeans didn't lose the opportunity and closed the game right away.
