m0NESY: "I’m just not getting the kills I have to get"
Since joining Falcons, Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov has been putting up some incredible numbers, averaging a 1.26 player rating and a 1.39 K/D ratio over the past month.
While he's been spectacular, he himself told Dust2.us Editor in Chief Jeffrey "Mnmzzz" Moore at IEM Dallas that he has to be even better, especially if he wants to beat the Vitality roster that has consistently had the upper hand against him and Falcons.

What would you say was the factor that led to the loss to Vitality here in Dallas?
First of all, I think they just played better than us. I don’t know, I just wish I could play better individually. Right now I’m not in great shape and form, but we’ll definitely be better at the Major. As a team, I think everything’s just game-related. Everyone feels really good, but it’s just the details that matter a lot.
Why do you feel like your individual form is struggling?
I wouldn’t say that I’m really struggling right now. I would say that I have good positions and I’m in good places to get a kill or easy frags, but those easy frags I don’t get sometimes, maybe because I miss. I’m choosing good positions, but I’m just not getting the kills I have to get, in my opinion. I just need to play more.
What's the difference maker that leads to Vitality winning these close series so often?
It's hard to answer, but they play with very good confidence, compared to when we played them last year. Right now they're not scared to do anything. I mean the gap [between us] is not confidence; we have a lot of confidence in ourselves. They just play with this kind of flow, everything just works for them. But you can see that you can win [against] them, they're not unbeatable.
Falcons have lost four series against Vitality since m0NESY joined, but it feels like the two sides are destined to collide again in Austin. Falcons will need to advance past Stage 2 first though, to Stage 3 where Vitality awaits.
