CS2 skins market cap dips more than $500 million in a week

Invest in the dip?

The CS2 skins market cap experienced a dramatic fall, as Pricempire posted on X. According to the skins economy analyst, the market cap has dipped by more than half a billion.

Earlier this month, the CS skins market had supposedly reached a new high of $5 billion, but evidently that has only lasted a little over a week. As of time of writing, per Pricempire's market cap page, it's valued at $4.42 billion.

Pricempire initially reported that the market cap had fallen by $1 billion this past week, but they stated after that buff163, a major Chinese skin marketplace, was experiencing a pricing bug regarding the price of Doppler knives. That issue has since been fixed.

Before panic sets in though, it's worth noting that the market is still up 2.17% over the past 30 days and 13.43% over the last 90 days.

With new knife finishes in the Fever case released at the end of March now entering the market en masse, a market surge was expected with a dip to follow as the number of listings increased.
