Big Chillin disband

After falling in Relegation, the embattled lineup elected to go their separate ways.

Following their relegation from ESEA Premier Season 38, Big Chillin have disbanded.

The team's decision to disband comes after a tumultuous season as they had to contend with  Blake "Elk" Swinson retiring mid-season, while also fighting with ESL over their oft-maligned and seemingly arbitrary transfer regulations. While ESL ultimately relented and allowed Big Chillin to bring in an emergency substitute, it resulted in the team having to finish the season with David "blackpinklisa" Flynn and Damian "droid" Boulware as stand-ins.

This setup was less than ideal for Big Chillin in ESEA Premier Season 38's regular season, with the squad falling completely flat and failing to win a single map. In Relegation they fared slightly better, besting Valors and taking a map off Northern Forces while using Alex "heaty" G. as a substitute in place of blackpinklisa.

The team's former coach and the owner of Big Chillin William "Aphotic" DeVoe told Dust2.us that despite the setback, the brand are "looking to field a team sometime soon."

Big Chillin was:

  • United States Matt "dvl" Buechel
  • United States Devin "Xzen" Barber
  • United States Brendan "Melloh" Mello
  • United States David "blackpinklisa" Flynn (Stand-in)
  • United States Damian "droid" Boulware (Stand-in)
  • United States Michael "Munk" Klotz (Inactive)
  • United States William "Aphotic" DeVoe (Coach)

While any combination of the former Big Chillin lineup are eligible to rebuild a roster in the spot, none of the former members have currently paid their league fees or expressed interest in rebuilding the team on Twitter.
