paiN qualify to FiReLEAGUE 2021 over Extra Salt
paiN have punched their ticket to Argentinian LAN tournament FiReLEAGUE 2021, emerging as the victors in the finals against Extra Salt.
The qualifier started off with a relatively forgettable quarterfinals that saw GODSENT forfeit due to an upcoming event conflict, Triumph drop out of the event to compete in the IEM Winter 2021 Open Qualifier, and Extra Salt completely decimate Mexican squad Akave. The only match of note saw Bad News Bears, with Wesley "viz" Harris as a stand-in, get taken down 2-0 in a one-sided fashion by oNe.
Moving into the semifinals, Extra Salt bested Party Astronauts 2-1 in a series that saw the North American teams trade each other's map picks before Extra Salt crushed Party Astronauts 16-6 on Nuke.

The series on the opposite side of the bracket began with oNe in the lead after a dominant 16-9 win on Inferno. Moving into Nuke, oNe kept up the pressure as a strong CT-side effort allowed them to lead 12-3. Unfortunately after this, Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa and co. began to lose control of the series as paiN rallied to win Nuke 16-14 before taking Ancient 16-7.

In the finals, paiN continued to demonstrate their proficiency on Ancient as they won their T-side 8-7 before putting up a near-perfect CT-side to win the map 16-8. After this, the two sides were evenly matched on Inferno for the majority of the map before a 2k bomb defense by Rafael "saffee" Costa allowed paiN to take the map 16-14 and avoid overtime.

FiReLEAGUE 2021 is set to start on November 15th in Buenos Aires. paiN will be joined in Argentina by Brazilian compatriots Havan Liberty and Paquetá as well as North American Advanced squad Infinity.
