walker and brett return to Third Impact following surprise exit; Veloz left with two

The un-move makes Third Impact whole again, and leaves Veloz significantly less so.

After a shocking departure from Third Impact just two days ago, Walker "walker" Harris and Brett "brett" Rhein have returned to the 3-0 side to continue their ESEA Premier Group A campaign where they left off.

Just as things appeared when the duo departed, there was nothing but positivity surrounding the reunion and Brennan "grape" Greer was quick to publicly forgive his teammates

Dust2.us reached out to walker, who told us that the return to Third Impact had nothing to do with the recent publication of a Steam conversation between Cody "Domorin" Lutzel and Erich "ninja" Beyer by Chase "lowrider" Releford. That conversation alleged that the Veloz lineup had manipulated their match results with GGPR by having Kevin "consti" Yi purposefully disconnect his internet to improve their position in that season's relegation tournament.

A similar situation transpired in an ESEA Main match between FakeOut Nation and Bravado in 2018, where the former team were found to have "deliberately lost the match in such a way that would allow them to avoid playing Bravado until the finals of the Main playoffs, giving them an easier possible path into the MDL". That team, ironically enough, featured lowrider. Their penalty at that time was a suspension of one ESEA competitive season.

In a further blow to Veloz and their once-promising 2-0 season, consti has left their ESEA roster as of this morning, and is tabbed to join up with Eric "Ryze" Brown's 6-0 Kinship side in Advanced.

After the quick reversal of course the two teams are now:

United States Third Impact United States Veloz
  • United States Keanu "DaneJoris" Reyes
  • United States Noah "insane" Eheart
  • United States Brennan "grape" Greer
  • Canada Walker "walker" Harris
  • United States Brett "brett" Rhein
  • United States Calvin "becker" Becker (Coach)
  • United States Austin "Classy" L. (Analyst)
  • Filip "Feedalee" Mitevski
  • United States Richie "sherps" Sherpa
  • Szymon "LAJT" Jaworski (Coach)
  • Canada Taylor "ioRascal" Hays (Analyst)

It should be noted that while Cody "Domorin" Lutzel left the Veloz ESEA roster a day ago, Aidan "Aidan" Higgason still remains.

Veloz were originally scheduled to face paiN last night but wild-carded the match. They are still scheduled to square off with CNSRD tonight at 9PM EDT, while Third Impact are not scheduled to play until their match with oNe on June 1st at 9PM EDT. The two teams will meet June 2nd at 9PM EDT.
