arT's future in FURIA is unclear at this time

Media: FURIA training without arT for GET Rio 2024

Could arT be out of FURIA after six years?

According to reports by DRAFT5 and Dust2 Brasil, FURIA are preparing for GET Rio 2024 without IGL Andrei "arT" Piovezan and are instead set to field FURIA Academy player Kayke "kye" Bertolucci in his place.

The change in composition comes immediately after FURIA have returned from IEM Chengdu 2024, where the Brazilians failed to make playoffs after losses to MOUZ and HEROIC.

arT has been a member of FURIA for more than six years, having been a key addition in FURIA's rise to stardom during their heyday. However, more recently arT's place on the squad has come under intense criticism as FURIA has struggled to find winning form even with the addition of Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo in July 2023.

The organization to date has notably yet to claim an S-tier trophy despite fielding many of Brazil's best players over the years, with the lineup unable to find a decisive win internationally. At the time of publication, both Dust2 Brasil and DRAFT were unable to confirm whether the move is permanent or not, however it is worth noting that arT's historic five-year long contract with FURIA is set to conclude in June 2024 — potentially paving the way for a roster shakeup.

FURIA are currently training with:

  • Brazil Yuri "yuurih" Boian

  • Brazil Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato

  • Brazil Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo

  • Brazil Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes

  • Brazil Kayke "kye" Bertolucci (Stand-in)

  • Brazil Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira (Coach)

GET Rio 2024 is set to start in short order on April 18th, where FURIA will be taking on 9z in their opening match.
