Popular Polish bootcamp center shuts down

The Kinguin Center is shuttering it's doors for now.

Early Thursday morning, Kinguin announced that the Esports Performance Center in Warsaw, Poland would be shutting down after more than five years. Kinguin explained in a statement that the lease for the building is ending and the company's current offices would be relocating in the city.

The Kinguin Esports Performance Center was a primary bootcamp center for several teams from the Americas region with organizations like Complexity, Wildcard, and Imperial having all used the facilities in recent months.

"We spent a lot of time at EPC, always been super flexible with our crazy schedule, coming and going between events, loads of unknown dates of arrivals and departures, handled it like pros," said Complexity General Manager Graham "messioso" Pitt in response to the announcement. "Will sorely be missed."

Kinguin claims that the Esports Performance Center has hosted more than 300 teams and nearly 1,800 players for boot camps and hosted more than 50 tournaments since opening its doors in 2019.

"This is not the end. This is something that will live in our hearts, in our souls, but we will come with something new for the esports community, you deserve." Victor Romaniuk, founder of Kinguin, said in the announcement video. "We are part of this community and we always will be."
