PAIN STAY ALIVE IN PLAYOFF HUNT
Brazil is not dead yet! The Americas are not dead yet! Complexity and paiN are in line to make the playoffs and with that, two potential Elimination Spots for the Americas region. For paiN, this is a comeback from the dead event and for Complexity, they are hoping to avoid the 2-0 to 2-3 curse that befell SAW in the previous stage.
paiN started off the match on their pick of Nuke where the squad's T-side proved more effective than HEROIC thought as the Brazilians jumped out to a 7-5 lead. While that T-side was beautiful, it was the CT-side where the team truly came alive. They crushed the Danish squad as they took six out of seven rounds to win 13-6.
Mirage was an even crazier story for paiN as they somehow came away with twelve straight rounds to secure a 12-0 first half CT-side. With it looking like HEROIC were destined to be knocked out, the Macedonian-led squad actually managed an impressive, and scary for paiN, comeback. On their CT-side HEROIC managed to claim round after round after round, managing to make it look like a normal game as paiN were left dazed and confused. However, with paiN's chances of staying alive coming into serious doubt, the Brazilians finally rallied to take a T-side round and win the map 13-9!
Now, paiN are set to play against the winner of Cloud9 v. NAVI which is still on. paiN's win also means that Complexity will be facing FaZe tomorrow.
