timbermen through to BLAST Premier Spring Showdown

An impressive run from the former Badasses.

The ACE North American Masters Spring 2024 has come to an end, with timbermen claiming victory following a grueling bracket win that saw them take down some of the best in North America. Victories over NRG, BOSS, and Nouns were just some of the highlights for this squad that only dropped two maps en route to earning a spot at the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown.

The best of three series began on timbermen's pick of Ancient, where the orgless squad came out of the gate dominating on their T-side of the map. Shane "shane" Dressler was incredible throughout the map as he put up 21 kills as his team won the first half 10-2 before closing out the map 13-5.

Wildcard were able to bounce back when they moved to Anubis as the young prospect Josh "JBa" Barutt put up a standout performance by providing 20 kills, a 93.0 ADR, and a 1.63 HLTV Rating. Wildcard won the opening pistol, however they would lose the next three rounds, putting the team in a tough position to make a stand on their CT-side. However, Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz rallied the troops and would end up winning the half 8-4. The squad's T-side was just as effective as they closed out the map 13-7 to tie up the series.

Overpass would not be as competitive as Wildcard hoped as timbermen were in control of the map from the very beginning. timbermen would win the opening pistol as the offense and, despite it being a bit back-and-forth, cruised to an 8-4 first-half lead. Wildcard was on the back foot as they now had to mount a comeback on their T-side, but could not do more than just two opening rounds before timbermen's defense gifted them a spot in Europe for the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring Showdown.

The orgless roster will now have two major events in the beginning of March as they are headed to Monterrey for the PGL Copenhagen Major Americas RMR from March 1th through March 4th, then will jet over to Europe for the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown which begins on March 6th.

I'll admit, I definitely was not expecting timberman to win this.
