Pour one out for steel

100 Thieves VALORANT reinforce with steel

Another great North American in-game leader and iBUYPOWER alumnus leaves Valve behind.

Joshua "steel" Nissan has become the latest member of the former iBUYPOWER roster to seek unrestricted opportunities in Riot Games' new FPS title, joining former teammates Braxton "swag" Pierce, Keven "AZK" Lariviere, and Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham in making the switch to noteworthy tier-one organizations for VALORANT.

Despite knowing that he could never attend a Major, steel continued to produce results for Chaos, leading their ascent in HLTV rankings, where they currently sit at #19 in the world. The team's biggest recent result was a 3-4th finish at ESL One Cologne North America following huge victories over FURIA and 100 Thieves.

The Canadian also guided the team to first-place finishes in ESEA MDL Season 34, the FunSpark ULTI qualifier, WINNERS League Season 4, Mythic Invite League Season 1, and Mythic Summer Cup #3 just in the last two months. A bit further back he also led the team to a qualification spot in Flashpoint Season 1, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

100 Thieves VALORANT are now:

  • United States Spencer "Hiko" Martin
  • United States Nick "nitr0" Cannella
  • Canada Joshua "steel" Nissan

100 Thieves still have some time to finish their roster, as there are no large events that they are slated to attend in the near future.
