ESEA announce Season 35 details; to offer EPL promotion through Global Challenge

Season 35 will run from August to December and will hopefully feature the return of the Global Challenge.

With ESEA MDL Season 34 concluded, and the lower divisions beginning playoffs, ESEA have announced the details for Season 35 which is set to begin on August 31st.

As with previous seasons, new teams may register immediately, while those who are currently registered for Season 34 will be able to signup following move-ups on August 10th. MDL Season 35 will also offer promotion to ESL Pro League Season 13, marking the return of EPL promotion after the Season 34 training season.

As such, the ESEA MDL Global Challenge will make a return in Season 35, as it now serves as the mechanism for the teams to claim spots in EPL. However, it is worth nothing that just as the ESEA MDL Season 33 Global Challenge remains on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Season 35 Global Challenge may be pushed back due to ongoing travel restrictions.

Registration will remain open until August 24th, while teams that have less than four paid players will be removed two days later. Schedules will be released the following day, at which point teams can begin scheduling and vetoing for matches. Following the October 18th roster lock will be the start of playoffs which will run until December 6th.
