Xeppaa's debut month for Chaos went swimmingly

Xeppaa causes Chaos in May player ranking

A stellar showing against Liquid and playing against a higher caliber of opponents helped Xeppaa top the board over FaNg.

May has come to an end, seeing another ten North American players top the charts in our monthly player ranking. With matches continuing to play out solely online, it was Erick "Xeppaa" Bach who claimed a first place finish, averaging the highest rating among players with more than fifteen maps played at 1.26.

Events that were factored into the creation of this ranking include ESEA MDL Season 34, WINNERS League Season 4 Invite, ESL One: Road to Rio, Mythic Cup 6, Gamers Without Borders, DreamHack Masters Spring (including Europe for Complexity), and Home Sweet Home Cup 3, 4, and 6.

Xeppaa's stellar month saw him play a total of 22 maps, wherein he helped Chaos claim a 2-1 win over Liquid in DreamHack Masters Spring. Additionally, he is currently averaging a 1.34 rating and 1.25 rating in MDL and WINNERS League, respectively, keeping Chaos at the top of the standings in both leagues.

Just below Xeppaa sits Justin "FaNg" Coakley, who also averaged a 1.26 rating for the month, albeit against lesser competition. The 18-year-old Canadian helped Under 21 to a second place finish in Mythic Cup 6 with a 1.13 rating, and is currently averaging a 1.32 rating over 9 maps played in MDL.

Two Swedish Canadians also made appearances on the leaderboard, with Adam "WolfY" Andersson placing third with a 1.25 rating and David "J0LZ" Jolin managing to finish in seventh. Strong performances from Ricky "floppy" Kemery in Cloud9's Road to Rio and DreamHack Masters Spring efforts put him at fourth place, while Complexity's Owen "oBo" Schlatter reigned supreme in Europe, averaging a 1.19 rating to take fifth.

Xeppaa's Chaos teammates, Anthony "vanity" Malaspina and Joshua "steel" Nissan, managed to make it into the top ten, with the former eUnited in-game leader ending the month in sixth while steel rounded out the leaderboard, averaging a 1.13 rating. Another Under 21 player also made an appearance on the board in the form of Ezekiel "KmZ" Hughes, who finished in eighth place.

Liquid's woes continued as they only had one player make an appearance in the top ten, with Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken averaging a 1.13 rating to end the month in ninth place.

He was inactive for the majority of the month, playing just eight maps. We only factor for players who have played more than 15 maps.
