Nouns have been bootcamping in Europe

Nouns' group at ESL Challenger Jönköping revealed

Nouns are the #5 seed of the competition.

ESL announced the groups today for ESL Challenger Jönköping, which is set to take place from November 24th until November 26th. Nouns have been drawn in the same group as MONTE, Eternal Fire, and TYLOO, while Group B features Virtus.pro, GamerLegion, MIBR, and Looking4Org.

The event follows the GSL format, meaning Nouns might not face all three other teams in Group A. This group stage format sees the opening and winners' matches as BO1s, while the qualification and elimination series will be BO3s. With the top two from each group advancing, the playoffs will feature a simple single-elimination bracket with all games being BO3.

Despite being seeded as the fifth-best team in the event, Nouns are ranked, according to HLTV, at #38, the worst of the eight participating teams. TYLOO, L4O, and MIBR are worse-seeded, despite being the #27, #29, and #24 in HLTV's ranking.

Although the opening matches have not yet been announced, Nouns will debut against MONTE, while Eternal Fire will face TYLOO. The other Americas team in the event, MIBR, will face Virtus.pro in their opening match. Despite the odds not being in the Americas' favor during the first set of matches, there's always room for surprises.

Nouns beat Forsaken (now Wildcard), and Evil Geniuses twice during the closed qualifier to guarantee a spot in the Swedish event, which features a $100,000 prize pool and a ticket to ESL Pro League Season 19.

Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen's boys have been bootcamping in Europe for a while now, which culminated with the team forfeiting their last three ESL Challenger League S46 NA regular season series to focus on the overseas tournament. ESL Challenger Jönköping kicks off on November 24th and will run until the 26th.
