Badass, with two stand-ins, have won GG EZ Dallas 2023, taking down fellow ESL Challenger League squad Take Flyte yesterday to take home the $2,400 top prize while Take Flyte walked away with $1,200.

The LAN event, which took place this weekend in Plano, Texas, saw a decent turnout of twelve teams, with two ECL teams, two Advanced teams, and an ECL/Advanced mix being the top squads in attendance. The group stage on October 28th played out without any surprises, as the top teams in attendance locked in their spots in the top eight without much trouble or fanfare.

Moving into the quarterfinals, Badass made quick work of Revel with a 2-0 win while Take Flyte claimed a narrow 2-1 win over Electrify Steel to make their way into the semifinals. The semifinals saw Badass continue their unmatched run of form in the event as they claimed a 2-0 win (13-3 and 13-8) over Bikini Bottom Boys, while Collin "CoJoMo" Moren and co. played another close series, besting Noah "flixxy" French's boyfriend_peek 16-12 on Nuke and 13-10 on Mirage.

With the grandfinals stage set, the first map, Ancient, easily went the way of Take Flyte, with the map falling 13-5. This loss on Inferno would be answered back by Badass on Ancient as they managed to force a third map with a narrow 16-14 win. Moving into the decider, Overpass, Badass had their chance to put on a dominant showing, with Derek "dare" Brown leading the charge as Badass won the map 13-6 to win the tournament.
