Brazilian player hospitalized during IESF match

Netherlands had won the first map, but Brazil was up 2-0 in the second when it happened.

The game between Brazil and Netherlands started four hours behind schedule due to Internet and weather problems, but the worst happened when Ingryd "yor" Arruda, one of the Brazilian players, fell ill during the second map of the series and was transported to a local hospital.

The series has been postponed to tomorrow and it will decide USA's fate in the IESF Female World Championship 2023. If Brazil wins, there will be a three-way tie in the group, but if Brazil loses, the USA is through to playoffs.

Day two of the women's tournament was yet again riddled with technical problems, some games such as Brazil vs. Netherlands started hours behind schedule, while others had over 30 minutes of break due to server problems. The worst problem, and one the organization couldn't control, happened when yor couldn't continue playing after the player fell ill.

The organization postponed the rest of the series for tomorrow, as the Netherlands was ahead 1-0 in maps and map two of the series had already started. According to Dust2 Brasil, if yor isn't able to continue playing by tomorrow, the team will automatically lose the match.

This is important news for the USA, as the team has not yet secured a playoff spot due to the possibility of a three-way tie. Should Brazil lose, USA will advance as the second place team in the group, meeting Argentina in the semifinals.
