JT proved his fragging abilities during the Grand Final

Complexity top IEM Syndey qualifier

The Cowboys are headed down under.

It wasn’t pretty, but Complexity were able to reverse their fortunes after stumbling out of the gate on Thursday night, avenging their loss against Forsaken while showing a renewed dominance expected from a team of their quality. Complexity, having just completed the Sydney qualifier, will need to carry that momentum into the main event in October.

Having lost to Forsaken in the first match of the qualifier, Complexity had to fight through the lower bracket which included eliminating Nouns just to stay alive. That set up a rematch against Forsaken for the first match of Friday night. Unlike Thursday, Complexity looked much more in control as they brushed past the orgless squad in a dominant 2-0 victory. The Cowboys had no problem winning Forsaken’s pick of Vertigo 16-3 before bringing it home 16-8 on their pick of Overpass.

Riding high after their dominant rematch, Complexity had to play the hot-handed M80 who cruised to the Grand Final as they took down Nouns and Forsaken in the Upper Bracket. This was the first contest between the two sides in the qualifier.

Complexity once again showed why they’re considered the best team in North America as they dominant M80 on their pick of Anubis 16-10 and then closed it out on their pick of Overpass 16-8. The back-to-back 2-0 victories was a welcome change for the team that looked slow to react Thursday evening.
