Another last-place finish at Cologne even with the new addition of EliGE

JT: "We've been doing 12-14 hours a day for the last three weeks"

Complexity unfortunately exit Cologne without a map win for the second year in a row.

Following missing out of BLAST Fall Finals through the Groups, Complexity entered the Cologne Play-Ins hoping to salvage a positive result for the start of their Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski era. However, nothing went as planned as Johnny "JT" Theodosiou and company lost first to fnatic and then to OG to exit the tournament in last place. The North American squad continue to struggle to find form, even with the injection of firepower in EliGE. After their eliminating loss to OG, Dust2.us' Gonçalo "GoncOak" Carvalho spoke with the in-game leader to talk about what went wrong and what's next for the team.

Tough loss against OG, what are your thoughts on the series?

No real thoughts to be honest. We made a few mistakes and they capitalized upon them. That's all.

Specifically, this was one of your guys' worst T-sides on Overpass recently. What went wrong?

I'm not sure. We tried to do some slow A defaults and they were just picking us apart. I think regali played really well on their CT-side and we were trying to deal with him. I think it was a mix of them playing well and us playing bad.

Would you say they had your number on the T-side today?

Yeah, definitely. We were trying to do things differently on T-side compared to our other games and it didn't really work. They pretty much had the answer every time. We just got to look back on it.

Is that due to not having time to practice between events?

No, we've had a lot of practice. For the last three weeks, we've been doing 12, 14 hours a day. We've been practicing really hard, we just haven't shown the results yet.

Since we talked in Copenhagen, you haven't won an official series. What's missing and what are the feelings within the team?

Honestly, I don't know. Like I said, we've been practicing really hard. If I had the answers I would have already put them in. I think we just have to look back at the games and keep improving. It's hard to tell really.

So what's the plan before Pro League?

I'm not sure, we haven't spoken about that yet.
