viz will hopefully return upon the release of CS2

Party Astronauts lose long-time member

viz leaves PA after 17 months with the team.

Wesley "viz" Harris has announced his departure from Party Astronauts, citing burnout and motivation issues contributing to the decision. The departure of viz marks the end of the end of a lengthy tenure with the PA/EG White core, with viz initially joining Ben "ben1337" Smith's squad 17 months ago in February 2022.

The departure of viz from Party Astronauts is the latest change in a recent reshuffle by the team, with Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk being replaced by William "spek" Smith while Hunter "Lucid" Tucker stepped down and was replaced by Nathan "madcow" Retterath and Luke "Viathan" Castens.

In his tweet regarding his departure, viz noted that he is taking this break now to hopefully rekindle his motivation for CS2, suggesting hopefully that his hiatus from the NA scene will be brief.

In place of viz it appears Party Astronauts have already started evaluating their options. The team recently fielded Silas "silas" Marrufo in the fourth ESEA Pre-Season Circuit qualifier. silas recently announced his return to activity on July 15th after a short break from competition due to real life commitments.

Party Astronauts are now:

  • United States Josh "PwnAlone" Pigue

  • United States Ben "ben1337" Smith

  • United States Connor "chop" Sullivan

  • United States William "spek" Smith

  • United States Nathan "madcow" Retterath (Coach)

  • United States Luke "Viathan" Castens (Assistant Coach)

After qualifying via the fourth open qualifier, Party Astronauts will be playing the ESEA Pre-Season Circuit finals on July 30th.
