EG Gold part with three ahead of Thunderpick qualifier

Changes abound ahead of ESL Impact.

Evil Geniuses late last night announced a series of changes to their roster, choosing to part ways with three members of their squad that have been part of the team since its inauguration.

Head coach Luis "onter" Contreras, and riflers Jessica "jessicas" Ngo and Anna "garden" Gutierrez were informed earlier that they were removed from the team, but it was only announced last night.

In a follow up tweet, jessicas described the move as a "kick in the gut" and that she was "really heartbroken". As for garden, they said that they had wished "things turned out dfifferently" but was looking ahead to the next move. As for onter, they have made no public statement at this time.

The Evil Geniuses' Gold team is playing in the Thunderpick World Championship North American Series 1 this morning with Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte and Evil Geniuses strategic coach Joseph "Muenster" Lima filling in, while Juliana "juli" Tosic plays in place of Tilde "7licious" Byström.

EG Gold has some work to do in order to find a replacement for their two benched players, but will have ample time before ESL Impact Season 4 begins in mid-September in North America.

Evil Geniuses Gold are now:

  • United States Kiara "m1lky" Makua

  • Kiki "PiggyKiki"Long

  • Sweden Tilde "7licious" Byström
