Lucaozy has been a target for many Brazilian organizations

MIBR target Fluxo player for $288,000; Tuurtle benched

IGC are looking to flash some cash to upgrade for CS2.

According to a report by Dust2.us' sister site Dust2 Brasil, MIBR are targeting Fluxo star Lucas "Lucaozy" Neves to replace Matheus "Tuurtle" Anhaia, with the latter player being benched today. Lucaozy is reportedly the target of multiple Brazilian organizations, with MIBR offering upwards of $288,000 (R$ 1.4 million) to secure his services ahead of the launch of Counter-Strike 2.

The decision by MIBR to reshuffle their roster heading into the player break comes after a period of dominance in the NA scene muted by poor results internationally. While MIBR have won the previous three seasons of ESL Challenger League, the team exited IEM Katowice, ESL Pro League Season 17, and IEM Rio early without many wins for the show for the first half of the year.

Additionally, MIBR have missed the past two Majors, Rio and Paris, after failing to make it out of the Americas RMR with Brazilian rivals FURIA, 00 Nation, paiN, and Fluxo taking the honors. As such, with the player break and a new game right around the corner, MIBR are likely looking to bolster their forces as they chase their old reputation as the top Brazilian team.

MIBR are expected to consist of:

  • Brazil Raphael "exit" Lacerda

  • Brazil Breno "brnz4n" Poletto

  • Brazil Henrique "HEN1" Teles

  • Brazil Felipe "insani" Yuji

  • Brazil Lucas "Lucaozy" Neves

  • Brazil Bruno "BIT" Lima (Coach)

  • Brazil Matheus "Tuurtle" Anhaia (Inactive)

MIBR's next possible commitment would be ECL S46 on July 11th.
