The Ukrainian veteran coach will miss out on heading to Paris with his team

Ukrainian coach set to miss Major due to war

lmbt will miss the Major in unfortunate circumstances.

Unfortunate news has hit Ukrainian organization Monte just days before the start of the BLAST.tv Paris Major as coach, Sergey "lmbt" Bezhanov, has announced that he will miss the Major due to the ongoing war in Ukraine restricting travel for Ukrainian men.

lmbt told Dust2.us that despite there being some exceptions, he was unable to get one and is thus unable to leave the country. Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, most Ukrainian men ages 16 to 60 have been blocked from leaving the country due to the potential of being called up for mobilization in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This has created a number of issues for Ukrainian esports professionals due to either being unable to leave the country or return to their homeland for multiple months at a time. Fortunately for Monte, the Ukrainian trio on their roster has been able to make it to Paris and will be competing in the BLAST.tv Paris Major when it starts on May 8th.
