pesadelo played the RMR despite being benched

pesadelo reveals LOS + oNe cut him before the RMR

The Brazilian rifler knew he had no future with the team before the important tournament.

In an interview with Dust2 Brasil's Roque Marques, Matheus "pesadelo" Panisset spoke about his benching by LOS + oNe, the state of the organization, pressure from Brazilian fans, and his future plans.

One of the more explosive pieces of information in the interview was that the organization told pesadelo he would be benched from the team right as they were set to depart on a two-week bootcamp ahead of the BLAST.tv Paris Major Americas RMR.

When we got ready to go to RMR, we did an 18-day bootcamp in Europe, and before that bootcamp started I was told that I wouldn't continue on the team. But the boys on the team said that it wouldn't make sense to have prepared for a long time for RMR and I wasn't there to play. We ended up entering into an agreement that I would play RMR with them so as not to harm the team so much

This decision by LOS + oNe reportedly put pesadelo in the wrong headspace for the competition, with pesadelo saying the news "caught [him] off guard" and even was "messing with [him] a little." The decision by the organization seems strange in context as pesadelo was locked to the roster for the RMR, so telling him of the decision early garnered little benefit for the organization ahead of LOS + oNe's most important tournament of the year.

pesadelo also spoke about the negative pressure from fans after the merger between oNe and Los Grandes in October 2022. He explained that the fans ended up having a "negative influence" on the project as they would not provide any sort of positivity after tough losses. While pesadelo noted that he was not a direct target of the criticism, he had sympathy for his teammates experiencing the backlash.

Finally, while the player still remains under contract with the organization, he has denied intending to join his former teammates in a new project in Brazil. As he said to Dust2 Brasil, "We haven't talked about continuing to play together".
