Evil Geniuses and Complexity face tournament elimination

NA Struggles in High Matches

Only Liquid have secured a 2-0 swiss score whilst EG & COL are 1-1.

With all the Round 2 high (1-0) matches done and dusted, North America has emerged bruised and beaten. Liquid have moved on to the 2-0 matches tomorrow whilst Evil Geniuses and Complexity will be fighting for their tournaments lives in the 1-1 matches. Nouns and yur are set to fight in the Round 2 low matches (0-1) later today with one of them unfortunately heading back home.

EG almost upset FURIA again

Although it was against a slightly different Evil Geniuses roster, FURIA were down 10-12 at one point on Mirage and EG hoped to upset the Brazilian side a second time in RMR history. Unfortunately, EG were unable to recover after the match was tied 13-13 and ended up losing 13-16 to FURIA.

Liquid show no signs of stopping

Comfortably closing out the map 16-6 on the CT-side, Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis topped the board with a 1.97 rating, 127.9 ADR, and a +14 K-D differential.

Complexity struggle to find their footing

After a 16-10 victory over Solid yesterday, Complexity were looking a little shaky heading into the second day. Both games saw Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli topping the board for the North American side, however, today his performance was not as well supported by his fellow teammates, with Michael "Grim" Wince only posting a 0.62 rating in their match today. After a close 7-8 CT-side for COL, paiN were able to display a better defensive side and claim the map 16-10, forcing COL into a do-or-die match tomorrow.

What next for North America?

Nouns will be playing versus yur for tournament life today at 08:45PM in a BO3 to determine who continues their chance at going to Paris. Liquid, EG, and COL will be waiting for all the matches today to conclude for the Buchholz scores to be finalized and their matchups determined.

That being said, Liquid will be playing one of FURIA, Fluxo, or paiN. In the low (1-1) matches, EG and COL will be playing either Flamengo, BESTIA, the winners of the Round 1 low matches, or of course each other for tournament life.
