FURIA take down OG in close 1-1 match-up
With both teams coming into the match-up with a 1-1 record, the winner of this best-of-one would stand one match away from qualification, while the loser would be on the back foot, one match away from elimination. With that being said OG and FURIA banned away all maps except Overpass, in which OG would start their CT-side on.
FURIA started off the game well, taking the first pistol round, but a 1v2 from Abdul "degster" Gasanov swung the second round in OG's favor. Unphased, FURIA took the fight right back to OG and won the following three rounds. OG, looking to keep the game close, took three of their own tying up the scoreline. Back-and-forth rounds for the rest of the half saw FURIA attain a very respectable 7 T-side rounds on Overpass.
Shutting out OG from the pistols, FURIA won their CT-side start and converted it, taking the lead once more. OG struck back once they bought full rifles and the rounds went tit for tat once more.
The first half of overtime went in the favor of FURIA as they secured 2 rounds on their CT-side. FURIA then took the first round of their T-side putting them just one round away from a positive record. A hectic B rush gave the final round to FURIA as they won 19-16.
