Second StarLadder Major Americas Minor open qualifier reaches Round of 16
Day one of the second StarLadder Major Americas Minor open qualifier has concluded, leaving sixteen of the 54 teams that signed up through to day two.
The highest seeded teams predictably had an easy time of things in their matchups, with New Identity giving up just three rounds in their match to advance to the round of 16 and Party Astronauts securing a 16-5 victory on the opposite side of the bracket.
A number of other notable teams also secured relatively easy victories, with Bad News Bears, Kyle "OCEAN" O'Brien's absolute mad lads, and a mix that included Jimmy "Marved" Nguyen and Spenser "shrek" Adams all dispatching of their opponents in quick fashion.
A few notable results in the Round of 32 included LiviD's 16-11 victory over Big Frames, Hysteria narrowly falling to a "shoot back" mix that included 15-year-old Nathan "leaf" Orf, The Quest edging out a 16-13 win over Variance, ex-Zone grabbing a 19-16 overtime victory against Chris and the boys with Alexander "zander" Diaz picking up 37 frags, New England Whalers dispatching of Infinity 16-10, and ETHEREAL surviving a 16-14 scare against Joel "jcrueL" Cruel's Just Swing roster.
