nitr0's men are back to the being the best

Liquid ranked 4th in world; highest since February 2020

NA's premier teams have moved up in the rankings after BLAST Premier Fall Groups.

HLTV has released the latest rankings update, placing Complexity at #25 and Liquid breaking back into the top 5 at #4, their highest ranking since February 24, 2020 when they were #3 in the world. The following week Liquid would fall down to 6th in the world and would fail to get higher than 5th until today. Liquid obviously underwent several roster changes and have since climbed back into a top position among the world's best.

Liquid has gone from strength to strength since bringing on potentially-permanent-but-we-can't-actually-comment-on-it-yet-stand-in Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis as they trounced Heroic and NIP 2-0, with additional victories over G2 and Complexity sending them to the BLAST Premier Fall Finals. The North American org is firing on all cylinders right now with it only a question of "when" and not "if" this team will take home a tournament win.

Complexity have also continued to improve, considering their monumental upset victory over Natus Vincere in their opening match of the BLAST Premier Fall Groups. That victory helped end an 11-match skid at the top tournament level as new signing Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli is not showing any signs of comfortability issues in this American team.

Evil Geniuses, while still low in the rankings due to their recent roster changes and a period of inactivity for the main roster, have climbed to #49 in the world after their performance at BLAST. Fans noted that there were some clear issues during the initial group stage matches as Will "RUSH" Wierzba was standing in for Timothy "autimatic" Ta, who was sidelined due to personal issues. Once autimatic returned to competition, it was evident that the new-look Evil Geniuses could contend amongst the best in the world after an impressive performance against NIP. By continuing to build on close matches like that, it's clear to see how the Seattle-based team could turn their fortunes around when they travel to ESL Pro League.

Each of the aforementioned teams will be playing in ESL Pro League later in September with Complexity drawn into Group C while Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid will face off in Group D.
