
Stay Frosty win NCS Minor Philadelphia
Stay Frosty, a squad featuring a mix of NCS regulars from MDL and Advanced, claimed first place at the NCS Minor in Philadelphia yesterday, not dropping a single map in the process.
In the first matchup of the playoffs bracket, Stay Frosty faced off against Mock and the Rocks, a mix-team featuring players from Advanced and Main. Starting off on Stay Frosty’s map pick of Train, Mock and the Rocks put up a fierce opposition, taking Stay Frosty into double digits, however, Stay Frosty were able to claim map one 16-12. Moving onto Mirage, Stay Frosty would eventually win the series 19-17 after putting up eight rounds in a row on their T-side after losing their CT half 10-5.

On the other side of the bracket, Big Chillin would narrowly take the first map from x1 Mob 16-14, owing in part to a strong performance from Rossein "Conan-Kun" Choeng who netted a 1.75 rating on Mirage. After this x1 Mob would answer back by taking Inferno 16-12, however Big Chillin would advance to the finals after besting x1 Mob 16-7 on Dust2.

In the finals, Stay Frosty faced off against Big Chillin, in a rematch of the Underwatch Boston NCS Minor. On Dust2, Stay Frosty left Big Chillin out in the cold, absolutely dominating the team to take the map 16-2. Following their loss on Dust2, Big Chillin failed to regroup, with Stay Frosty again putting up a dominant performance on Inferno winning the series and the event with a 16-8 finish.
