NA Double Up! Liquid overcome G2

Despite a competitive first half, Liquid were able to overcome G2's new look roster with a 16-12 win on Mirage. The victory makes Liquid yet another NA winner in Group B.

The first half started with worryingly with G2 taking four rounds in a row, but then Liquid came striking right back. Led by some impressive entry fragging from Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis and some slow-style map control, they were able to take six rounds on the trot. From there, the first half was a back-and-forth affair, with G2 just about making use of their CT-sided advantage and concluding the first fifteen rounds up 8-7.

The second half started off the same as the first, with G2 looking strong and taking three rounds, but just like the first half Liquid came back fighting. YEKINDAR continued to keep pace with an on-fire Nikola "NiKo" Kovač, who was brandishing a 21-7 KD early in the second half. As they came back into the game, Liquid were winning rounds while taking little damage and building up a massive economy. Momentum was high as Liquid went on a six-round run and dominated G2 to win 16-12 with smiles all around.

NA is back! This win means that Liquid will face off against Complexity in the upper final of Group B at BLAST Premier Spring 2022.
