felps and co. are ready to join the frantic fight in Brazil for a spot in the Rio Major

felps and vsm return in $487,000 acquisition spree

Fluxo have entered CS:GO in a big way with a number of high-profile Brazilian signings.

Fluxo, a Brazilian organization that is most known for their Free Fire team, have entered CS:GO with the signing of a star-studded Brazilian lineup. Leading the charge in this new squad is former SK and MIBR player João "felps" Vasconcellos alongside former 00 Nation player Vinicius "vsm" Moreira.

Rounding out the roster is former MIBR IGL and AWPer Adriano "WOOD7" Cerato, Sharks star Lucas "Lucaozy" Neves and Brazilian upcomer Lucas "lux" Meneghini. Fluxo will also be coached by Willian "Xamp" Caldas, who is best known for his time at the helm of Bravos before their core was snatched up by MIBR at the end of 2021.

This new lineup was a massive investment into the rapidly growing Brazilian scene by Fluxo's owners, 3C Gaming. The organization told Dust2 Brasil that they spent R$2,500,000 (~$487,833) assembling this squad. Interestingly, despite the team featuring names with felps and vsm, Dust2 Brasil reported that Lucaozy was the marquee acquisition for the club — costing around $331,000 to pull away from Sharks. While Lucaozy is less well-known in North America, he is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in the Brazilian scene at the moment. Fluxo's co-owner, Lucio "Cerol" Lima, explained to Dust2 Brasil that the goal of these signings is to assemble a team that can make it to the Rio Major and help Brazil return to its former peak in CS:GO.

Returning to peaks is a poignant theme running through this team as multiple players will have a lot to prove in the coming months with Fluxo. For felps, while the past few years of his career haven't been entirely fruitless, they're a long way away from his glory days with SK and MIBR. vsm has found himself in a similar situation, as after wasting nearly a year with O PLANO and 00 Nation, he likely pines for something similar to his breakout period on MIBR, during which the team performed far above expectations at FLASHPOINT Season 2.

Likewise, WOOD7's reunion with Xamp will hopefully see him regain the confidence of the Brazilian scene as a capable IGL after being sidelined in MIBR. lux, on the other hand, is as a largely untested player, keen to prove his chops after stints on Cruzeiro and DETONA.
